Have you ever dreamed of designing your own car - more specifically a Ford Mustang? Well, you're certainly not alone. Since its inception, Ford Mustang has built up quite a loyal following. To thank the millions of fans out there, Ford has created a special Ford Mustang Customizer website so you can live the dream.
Speaking on the development of the website, Jim Owens, Mustang Marketing Manager, Ford, said, "Customers love to make Mustang their own, one that suits their taste; this is the perfect way to let them test out their design and imagine what's possible. The interactive aspect also adds a whole new dimension and lets more people get in on the fun."1
The next time you're looking for a quick ten-to-fifteen minute distraction, you might want to give it a shot. We have to admit; we tried it out and had a blast trying to create not only our dream Ford Mustang but also the most horrendous-looking Ford mustang. Both were extremely easy to do, considering you can change everything from the body color (even creating custom colors), to the side mirrors, to the bumpers, to the wheels.
If you do decided to take part of the fun, you might be interested to also know that when you're done making your self-designed Ford Mustang, you can share it with friends via Facebook and Twitter; download it as your desktop; and pit it against other custom-built Ford Mustang cars online, where the people with decide the winner. You can even download and print a PDF itemizing everything you included in your design so that we can help create a similar real-life Mustang.
