The end of the Ford Ranger is here. The American auto maker has discontinued the small truck, in favor of a hybrid F-150 in the works. Shoppers can still get into a Ranger at Lindsay Ford in Wheaton, MD.

The vehicle hit its sales peak of 348,358 vehicles sold in 1999, beating out foreign competition. Ranger still offers a 4-cylinder engine that achieves 27 miles per gallon highway. Ford Taurus Retrospective

The original Ford Taurus wasn't a boxy piece of metal when it came out in 1986, but a light, fiberglass car. It influenced many other companies to rethink vehicle design. Between 1986 and 2007, Ford has constructed 7,519,919 models. It has become the fifth best selling North American car in Ford's history; "only the F-150, Escort, Model T, and Mustang have sold more units."1

During the mid 1990's, Taurus was named best selling US car four years running. Taurus also went through a major body styling update in the 90's.

Ford decided to…

Ford Escape Motion Sensing Liftgate

Ford is planning to officially unveil the new 2013 Ford Escape on November 16, but there is one very important feature we just can't wait to share with you. The 2013 Ford Escape will gain the industry's first-ever, hands-free liftgate operated by motion sensing technology.

Like gesture-reading video games, the SUV will automatically open with a simple kicking motion under the rear bumper. To close the liftgate, simply swing your leg under the bumper again.

This state-of-the-art feature will revolutionize drivers experience and perhaps even prevent a back sprain or two. Jason Spawka, Brand Manager, Ford Escape explains…

2013 Ford Escape Recycles Plastic

While Ford has recently confirmed that the 2013 Ford Escape won't be available with a hybrid power train; they're continuing to make strides in the reduction of their carbon footprint. The next-gen Escape lineup will get a complete make over, with sharper styling and more fuel-efficient engines, and even an additional twenty-five plastic drinking bottles.

Integrated into the carpet of each 2013 Ford Escape will be twenty-five twenty ounce plastic soda and water bottles. That might not seem like a lot in the scope of water-bottle consumption, but the Escape has been the second-best selling compact SUV for…
